The "Palm Treo Wireless Headset" (Model 3206WW) is probably not the best Bluetooth headset for the Treo 700p, but it works well enough. The main features in its favor are its ability to use the same power supply as the Treo; it comes with just such a power supply. The main drawbacks are the five seconds it takes to turn on or off, and it's bright blue LED that incessantly blinks while it's on. The Treo Headset replaces a Motorola HS-850 that uses a different power supply than the Treo. It's flip-able boom mic that doubles as an on/off switch will be missed.
Tonari no Totoro is a whimsical Hayao Miyazaki diversion sandwiched between two of his relatively larger adventures, Castle in the Sky, and Kiki's Delivery Service. Totoro's theme song is quite infectious. Hopefully, the Studio Ghibli relationship with Disney will flourish now that Miyazaki fan, John Lasseter, is in charge of all things creative in the house of mouse.
Gerry sent word that new episodes of Futurama are scheduled for delivery...in 2008! Comedy Central will most likely be the "other channel" according to the New York Post. The entire series to date is available on DVD for those of you who were living in a vacuum while one of the greatest shows ever aired on FOX. Nixon's back!
One of Adam Sandler's best movies is The Wedding Singer, a romcom 90's tribute to the 80's. The soundtrack plays like the greatest hits from the 80's. It even spawned a sequel, and a Broadway musical. Beware of the Totally Awesome Edition of the DVD, which was seemingly created to promote the Broadway show. Totally bogus. Sandler is awesome for casting Drew Barrymore as his love interest much like he cast Kate Beckinsale in his latest movie, which doesn't look so great.
This exclusive scene from Superman Returns on iTunes makes it difficult to keep expectations low (just in case the movie sucks). The trailers are also impressive, or maybe it's just the soundtrack that's striking a nostalgic chord.
Craving white rice... Musenmai Nishiki rice is awesome because you don't have to wash it. Now they just need to figure out how to get it to cook faster... (Rice with Sure Fire Grooves anyone?) Heh, you can now buy the short grain stuff via Amazon albeit only in a puny five pound bag. Shipping and handling is $9.07!
The Miami Heat followed up their dance team's victory by winning the 2006 NBA Championship in six games over the Dallas Mavericks. On the one hand, it's too bad the Eastern Conference team beat the Western Conference team. On the other hand, it's nice to see Shaq win another championship before Kobe. It also gives the Sacramento Kings a chance to win a championship before Mark Cuban's team...
