This blog's search feature—in the sidebar to the right—has gone legit lijit. (Thanks to @Orli for jogging the memory to check Legit out!) Legit is cool because it lets visitors search this blog with Google while simultaneously searching other content sources by yours truly: digg, You Tube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Pownce. It seems that most any site or feed can be added to Legit.
Blog authors benefit not only from a better search experience for their readers, but also from detailed stats collected by Legit. It also includes a Facebook app to make the Legit Search available on your Facebook Profile. Perhaps the only Legit nit is that it opens search results in a layer instead of a new tab/window. Fortunately, Safari supports opening layer links in new tabs so all is well.
