OMG. OMG. OMG. The new 15-inch MacBook Pro is bad ass! Pre-ordered it on Amazon, and avoiding the Apple Store so as not to buy one immediately. Finally settled on the 2.53 GHz stock config, which would be perfect out of the box if only it shipped with a 7200 RPM HDD. It's nice to see that Apple is not price gouging by offering an upgrade to 7200 RPM for only $50. However, will be taking advantage of the new easy-access hard drive bay to pop a speedier HDD in for about $100, as the new MBP is coming from Amazon. (Note to Amazon: You might want to start pre-selling Mini DisplayPort adapters as pretty much everyone who buys a new MacBook or MBP will need one to work with the latest display connector standard.) It took a while, but "MacBook" and "MacBook Pro" finally roll off the tongue easily.
